A leading expert in Obstetrics and Gynecology with extensive experience in reproductive health and medical education. He is the Director of the International Islamic Center for Population Studies and Research at Al-Azhar University, where he has pioneered numerous sexual and reproductive health advocacy workshops and in vitro fertilization centers and training programs in Egypt, Africa and Asia. Dr. Serour has held significant leadership roles, including serving as President of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Chair of the WHO’s Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Reproductive Health and member of the IGBC and IBC UNESCO for nine years. He has received multiple awards, including the 2013 UN Population Award and the 2018 Nile Prize for Medical Science.
