An epidemiologist, physician, and global health advocate, Dr. Neumann has dedicated his career to advancing public health and combating child mortality. He has carried forward the legacy of his mother, Dr. Zilda Arns Neumann, through Pastoral da Criança, a social action organization of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil. Before assuming his current role, Dr. Neumann served for a decade as the adjunct national coordinator of Pastoral, contributing to its mission of improving maternal and child health in underserved communities.
